Homeless Vietnam Veteran Releases Book Destined to Become New York Times Best Seller

One homeless Vietnam veteran had good reason to celebrate Veterans Day last week when he learned his newest book titled Dragon Keepers is ready for publication. Goldwell lives in his car but that hasn’t stopped him from writing what some believe is going to become the next big teen hit. Goldwell has put a preview of the book on his web site where visitors to read the first chapter. Development for the first movie in the Dragon Keepers series will begin next year. A co-producer has already been lined up that is going to help Goldwell get the movie underway.

For months now there has been a relatively small group of people waiting for this book to become available. Goldwell set up a group on tribe.net several months ago and around 100 people or so joined this group in anticipation of the release of this book. A few people from the Dragon Keepers group have already pre-ordered the book so that they can receive an autographed copy in time for the Holidays.

One Dragon Keepers fan in the U.K., which pre-ordered the book, had this to say after she read the preview from Goldwell’s web site. “Loved the preview! Can’t wait to read the rest!!! It’s amazing! Really easy to read, I don’t know anything about the story and some of the characters but it starts off really well because you feel as if you’ve always known about the place, and Lady Oer, she sounds evil already!!”

In the first book of the “Dragon Keepers” series, Merlin is about to turn 13 years old and become an official dragon keeper. But this isn’t just another story of fantasy and entrique. Mr. Goldwell has embedded the success principles from his books “The Door to Super Achievement” and “The Power of Choice” into the story so that young people can learn these principles through adventure, fantasy and mystery. There are seven books planned for “Dragon Keepers” and each book will have motivational and success principles included in the story.

Emerson Ward, the illustrator for “Dragon Keepers” and who lives in Australia wrote, “When I read the book, I realized that kids just aren’t taught the principles that are contained in this story. I wanted to be a part of this adventure and decided I wanted to be the illustrator for the book. When Bruce offered me the opportunity to be the illustrator, I gladly accepted.”

Goldwell believes that kids of all ages, young and old, will enjoy “Dragon Keepers”. Goldwell’s own mother said she couldn’t put the book down once she started readying it and she is 80 years old. The response from younger readers has been, “When is the next book coming out?”

While living in his car and working at the public library, Goldwell has written this book, connected with a publisher in Canada, began pre-selling the book online and made connections for the first movie of this series. This is quite an accomplishment for someone who is homeless. Goldwell believes his days as a homeless veteran are numbered.

“I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. Winter is approaching fast and I can’t wait to get this book on shelfs in bookstores not only in the United States but in countries all over the world. I am ready to get out of my car and into a real home. It was almost 25 degrees last night and I woke up with frost on the inside of the windows.” Goldwell stated.

I have been playing dragon age origins for a little while now and im hooked! My first character is a male dalish elf. What is the best armor for this type of charater and what weapons would be best for him? If you can attach any runes to the weapons, which ones do you suggest to apply to the weapons?

If you can also help give the location of everything, that would be awesome as well

If you have the blood dragon armor DLC it’s one of the best sets in the game. Otherwise the Juggernaut armor is my favorite because it makes you very spell resistant. This armor is found at the grave sites in the Brecilian forest, you have to fight a demon at each site to get each piece. But, the last piece is in the ruins you visit during the quest to find Witherfang. You have to complete a ritual and fight some ghosts. There are walkthroughs online you can look up.

As for weapons sword and shield or dual wield are better than two handed. The best sword is starfang if you have the Warden’s Keep DLC. Otherwise Topsider’s Honor which is in the Deep Roads.

Well first you need to boost the power of your spells to do massive amounts of damage. Spell Might and Spell Wisp boost the power of Spells, not just for damage purposes but also healing and stuff. Also using for example an ice spell on a rage demon would do like 200% damage, because their made of fire or fire based, something like that. Go to dragon age wikia, just google it. They have mage guides, spell combos, mage builds etc.

Modern Warfare 2
The best selling game of the year and a must if you play online. Be warned though, beginners should prepare for a frustrating learning curve as better equipped foes – usually teenagers with time, and you, to kill – constantly take you down. Luckily then the advancement path is so finely honed that it isn’t long until you are gaining both ranks and respect. If this sounds like too much hard work then the single-player story is hugely entertaining – albeit relatively brief – on its own. Such a shame about the airport level though. And just when I thought gaming had got over its teenage growth pains too.

Fifa 10 / PES 2010
Ah, the great football game debate. I really couldn’t choose between them and which ever one you decide on your footy-loving 360 owner should be happy. Having said that there are some differences. Fifa is slower, more methodical and more realistic. It also has all the right teams and players, even if the likenesses are still scarily off at times. PES has better player likenesses and animations but more importantly plays a faster more fluid game on the pitch. Fifa has more online options, PES has more exciting goalmouth scrambles. I’d still go with PES if I really had to choose but this one is too close to call.

Dragon Age: Origins
Again, this was on Keith’s PS3 list but it’s too good for 360 owners to miss out on. This is an epic role-playing game that will appeal to patient gamers who want to get their teeth into something a little meatier than the normal shoot n’ sport titles. Patience is key though – Dragon Age takes an, er, age to get going. With a text overload and occasionally ugly visuals Dragon Age may not seem an instant winner on Christmas Day. But give it a chance to get going – around 5-10 hours (!) – and you’re likely get hooked and still be playing on New Years Day and beyond.

1 vs 100
It’s a live quiz show on your Xbox that lets you compete against thousands of other players at the same time. What could go wrong? Nothing really. Ok, to actually win a prize involves luck, guesswork and worryingly quick reflexes. But 1vs100 cleverly lets you compete against your friends too, which gives you an incentive to play on even if the prizes are seemingly unobtainable. Again, you’ll need a Xbox Live subscription but this is perfect for all the family on Christmas Day.

Forza Motorsport 3
One for the dads and uncles this. Forza is a serious motor sim that lets you fiddle with engines and tweak just about everything a petrolhead would want. The action is almost RPG like at times, with upgrades aplenty and even if you don’t want to paint or tune your car there is always a reward waiting just around the corner. It looks fabulous too, while there are a host of excellent online features. Probably one for the boys this, but for the motor sport lover there is no better game on the 360.

Xbox Live Subscription
Yes, it costs £40-odd pounds for a year and yes the PS3 and Wii are free to play online. But Live is streets ahead of them – although PS3 is catching up relatively quickly – and now offers Facebook, Twitter and live Sky TV content as well as a stack of downloadable games. But it is the online play elements which really make this worth the cash. Friends lists, cross-game chat, 1vs100 (see below). An offline 360 is only half a console.
