Dragon Ball Z or Doragun Boru Zetto (DBZ) is based on the manga series written by Akira Toriyama. This Japanese Anime series became popular. Both young and old loved watching this Japanese anime series. If you have watched the original series, Dragon Ball, you will notice that it is just a continuation of the original series. The story is about the adventures of an alien. His name was Goku and he has super powers. He uses his unusual power to defend the Earth from villains. The story is about the battle between good and evil. It is fascinating to watch the whole series.
Dragon Ball Z was adapted from the second portion of the manga series. Actually, it was even longer than the original series. The sequel focused mainly on the life and adventures of an adult Goku. If you have seen the first sequel, Dragon Ball, you will notice that the story was about the adventures of Goku from childhood until adulthood.
In continuation, the sequel also featured Goku’s family and the maturation of his son, Gohan. There are times that the series became confusing due to infusion of other characters that were not found in the original manga series. There were a lot of flashbacks involve in Dragon Ball Z. In the end, it still gave its viewer inspiration and satisfaction.

Both series was actually the battle between good and evil. It was how Goku continuously battled villains coming from all over the universe. The battle was continued later on by Goku’s son, Gohan. He continued his father’s legacy to overthrow evil and protect the planet Earth from destruction. It was indeed an exciting adventure until the end. All its viewers, regardless of age got hooked in this Japanese anime series. Later on the series was introduced in the Western part of the world and became an instant hit.
After that, Dragon Ball Z mania has taken the world by storm. A lot of entrepreneurs have taken advantage of the fascination of Dragon Ball fanatics and turned it into an earning opportunity. There were apparels, backpacks, lunch boxes, drinks, snacks, and candies which featured the popular anime series. There were even toys like action figures, plush toys, collectible figurines, and various model kits that were made available in the market.
The craze over the anime series was later on directed towards video games. Dragon Ball Z games were created for the hungry market across the globe. The first Family Computer video game was titled Dragon Ball Z Gaiden: Saiyajin Zetsumetsu Keikaku (Dragon Ball Z Side Story: The Plot to Destroy the Saiyans). Even though the series have ended, Dragon Ball Z games continued to dominate the whole world. Various websites even featured online Dragon Ball Z games and has attracted a lot of fans.
The anime series indeed made its mark. Viewers, both young and old, became hooked on the series. It was one of the first cartoons that made Japanese Anime popular in the Western World and opened the door to the whole world.
