As a former Kindergarten teacher, I can tell you that, while it is important to be exposed to computers, the best way to ‘educate’ you child at home is to teach them to interact with other humans. The most important thing you can ever give any child is your time. As for myself, last summer, I bought my pre-K granddaughter a Barbie, yes BARBIE, computer.

I personally opt for phonics based computer games. You can get these at Circuit City, or any office supply or computer store. Alternatively, if you go to a ‘teacher supply store’, or there might be one online, there are many workbooks and activities.
