Back in the day they were called mood rings. Still a nice novelty. If they turn black you have a real problem!

Mood ring? I think he was kidding, at least I hope he was…
No, the moissanite won’t change color. Some jewels (the larger carats, mostly) have a slight yellow tint, but there are women (myself included) who look for that because it gives the stone the appearance of a warm J or K-color diamond (which adds to the “believability”). But for the most part, once set, a moissanite stone faces up nice and white, and it stays that way.
I’ve forgotten to take my ring off before showering or washing dishes, and after many such times, it still stays white and sparkly. My jeweler won’t believe I didn’t purchase my “diamond” band in her store; she’s inspected the stones through her scope (prior to cleaning the ring), and proclaimed them the most beautiful diamonds she’s ever seen.
Now, I didn’t buy my moissanite band to pass it off as diamond – I love moissanite for its double refractivity, value, hardness and performance – but my band easily passes, and it’s really the best purchase I’ve ever made. Enjoy
