I think you should have a cell once you either get a drivers license, are heading off to college, are involved in a lot of after school activities or sports, or if you have severe medical problems requiring emergency care
I think kids under 16 don’t need cellphones unless they are active at school or have serious health problems? Rule of thum.
I didn’t have one until I was freshman in college

How to persuade your parents into buying you a cell phone:

    1. Ask them
    2. If they say no, then say “But what if I get into an emergency and there’s no one with me?”
    3. If they still say no, say that all your friends have them even if they don’t. If they ask who, just list some names of people at your school.
    4. If they still say no, then beg them.
    5. If they STILL say no, then you aren’t getting one :/

I think a good age would be 13 or 14. It depends on how social your are, like if you stay at home all day a cell phone when benefit you much.

Middle schools the best age, 6th or 7th.
